ALmix is pleased to offer a variety of fuel storage tanks to fit the various needs of today’s asphalt pavement producers, including double-wall tanks to ensure that you can meet your state’s secondary containment requirements. Whether your plant requires a storage solution for heavy fuel, used oil, light fuel or a split tank for a combination of fuels, ALmix will help you choose the fuel storage solution that best suits your needs.

Fuel Storage | Features

IN-LINE PRE-HEATER: ALmix fuel storage tanks designed for heavy oil or used oil storage are equipped with our Model AFP-1000 In-Line Thermal Fluid Pre-Heater to preheat the heavy fuel for proper atomization. The 76 gallon-per-minute pre-heater consists of a heat exchanger, insulated and covered with a pre-painted aluminum skin.

PLUMBING: A positive displacement pump driven by an AC motor is supplied to unload fuel tankers. On tanks designed for heavy or used oil, the heavy oil pre-heater, sock filter unit, duplex strainer and burner fuel pump are all pre-piped on the unit.

TANK LEVEL READING: Each individual fuel tank on an ALmix fuel storage tank is equipped with a tank level transducer, giving the operator real time tank levels during production. A visual tank level gauge can be found on the outside of each fuel tank.

Fuel Storage | Double-Wall Fuel Tanks

ALmix portable, double-wall fuel tanks are loaded with features and are designed to help your operation meet secondary containment requirements for heavy fuels and light fuels. Our double-wall fuel tanks are available in a range of capacities, including split tanks, up to 18,000 gallons. Each tank is constructed from 1/4” steel plate and meets all UL-142 fuel storage tank standards.
